Game Recap #46- Denver 117 – Cavs 103 (The Box Score Edition)

Yea, not gonna lie. Didn’t manage to watch this game as I had other things to do tonight. So I’m not going to act like I can tell how the game went and who played well simply by looking at a box score. I’ll only say a couple of things about tonight’s game.

The Cavs will break the all-time losing streak record. So, that’s one thing. Really, REALLY thought they had to win tonight’s game in order to keep that from happening. They didn’t. So now I’m pretty confident it will happen. Sigh.

Also, it seems apparent the better defense on the 3-point shot a couple of games ago was nothing more than a flash in the pan. Denver shot 43.5% from 3 tonight, which is right around what the Cavs have been giving up on the season. Seriously, not only will this team break the all-time losing streak record, but it’s going to be the worst 3-point defensive team in the history of the NBA too. RECORDS ARE BEING BROKEN EVERYWHERE!!!

And when we try to make a comeback, yes, Carmelo is involved in squelching it, but the other Denver player who put the brakes on for us? Ty Lawson. There is no point guard in the league we can keep from killing us…

So true. I didn’t know a lot about Ramon Sessions before this season, but looking back I’m not sure why we made it a priority to get yet another PG who can’t defend an opponent even if given a F22-Raptor. It’s stunning that not only is this a bad defensive TEAM, but it has soooo many bad individual defenders. These guys would be bad even if they weren’t on this team.
